Mount Vesuvius looms in the distance, imbuing the Italian city of Naples with an electric charge just beneath the surface. The tension and dynamic character of the city can be experienced in the streets, craftsmanship and Mediterranean spirit.
I started a new job last year and had temporarily move to Berlin. That alone took a lot of time and energy, so I had to neglect this blog. But since I’ve had a few days off and been on the road again, I was inspired and motivated to write a few lines about my current situation.
The stranded tourist i am, still drag myself through the glowing streets and hope for a snapshot or two…
It’s already day 39 that i’m spending in the city and slowly i feel like a local. Well, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but at least the hotel staff knows me by name now.
