So, here you are!

I’m happy you made it to my website, somehow. I’m Thomas, hi!

I started this blog in 2014, originally as a way to showcase my photography, which in turn is a hobby of mine (…well yeah, there was a time before Instagram, LOL). After a while I realized that I would like to offer a little more substance. And so, when I set out on a month-long trip to Southeast Asia in 2019/2020, it was a welcome opportunity to add travel reports and stories to my pictures.

Despite all the travels and experiences I’ve made in my life so far, I often still don’t know in which direction I actually want to go. I’m literally lost every now and then… even though I’m a cartographer by profession, LOL. But I noticed that it helps me to write about it. To organize my thoughts, write them down and thereby gain new knowledge and recognize connections. Always true to the motto: “Everything has already been said, but not yet by everyone!” 😉

Nowadays I view this blog as a therapeutic, creative, safe space, in which I can come to collect my thoughts and feelings on a wide range of topics. And yeah, photography is still a part of it, of course.
